Remember that for 5,000 years men were considered superior to women. It took until the turn of the 20th century to change that paradigm and it’s still an uphill battle. Patriarchy is the west is firmly established and it will take much in the way of outreach, education, activism and (if these fail) revolution. So far, things are looking better but there’s still gaps that need to be filled to make the genders truly equal across the board.
The next step? I have no clue, but someone else might. Most of my ideas have something to do with deconstructing the places where female oppression finds safe harbor and cast down those who believe in oppressing women. (By cast down I mean ignore and defame)
